Fair Field Productions is a nonprofit educational film organization dedicated to preserving and sharing the history and culture of Fairfield, Iowa, through documentary storytelling. Its primary project, the Fairfield History Series, explores the people, events, industries, institutions, and ideas that have shaped Fairfield and the surrounding area.
Working with local historians, researchers, filmmakers, storytellers, and community members, Fair Field Productions creates deeply researched films designed to make local history engaging and accessible. Topics have ranged from the area's earliest history and agricultural roots to Fairfield innovators, Parsons College, Maharishi International University, and the community's creative history.
The Fairfield History Series is community-driven and volunteer-supported, with films shared through public screenings and online viewing. Through its documentary work, Fair Field Productions helps preserve local stories for future generations while encouraging a deeper understanding of Fairfield's unique history.
