About

Iowa State Bank & Trust Company opened its doors for the first time on May 19, 1934, after a merger between Iowa State Savings Bank and the Iowa Loan and Trust Company. The merger was completed to create a stronger, unified bank during the Great Depression. Since that time, Iowa State Bank & Trust Company has experienced significant growth, primarily in the Midwest. A new headquarters was constructed in Fairfield, Iowa, in 1996. In 2022, the bank opened its first branch in Ottumwa, Iowa.

We are locally owned and managed, which means decisions are made by people who understand the communities we serve and genuinely care about your needs. We are never too busy, or too self-important, to listen to you. Iowa State Bank's employees are also deeply involved in community organizations and events. We know that our success depends on the success of our customers. Our mission is to deliver financial solutions with every opportunity, so we take the time to get to know you and develop meaningful relationships. We believe the world needs community banks that are large enough to serve a wide variety of people, but small enough to remain focused on our most important asset: our customers.
