Meet Your Provider:
I am a dedicated board-certified Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, providing diagnosing and medication management. My foundations are in nursing and psychiatric training, I consider both the medical aspect and the individuals experiences. I have an ongoing commitment to open communication, ensuring my patients are well-informed, and actively engaged in the discussions and decisions about their mental health care.
Prior to joining Mindful Care, I worked with another local organization as a psychiatric nurse prescriber. Prior to that, I worked in Primary Care, Postpartum, Cath Lab, Home Health Care, Progressive Care Units (PCU) and Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) settings.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from the University of Texas Pan American and a Master of Science in Nursing Degree from Walden University. Not only am I a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, but I am a proud Veteran who served on both active duty in the Army and in the Navy Reserves.
I provide care for children starting at age 15, adults, and geriatric patients. Bridging the gap for Spanish speaking patients is no issue, since I am bilingual in Spanish and English. And no matter what background or beliefs, I welcome all patients with an open mind.
